Check Windows 11 Compatibility: - Windows 11 Tips and Tricks

Before upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 , make sure your computer is compatible with Windows 11. To do that, run the PC Health Check App. If the app says your device meets the Windows 11 requirements, you’re good to go.

Check-windows-11-compatibility as below options :->

By the way, there are two security settings that you need to turn on before launching the update process: Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. Go to BIOS settings to do that.

Don’t force the update if your device is not compatible with Windows 11. You may risk bricking your computer. If you really want to upgrade to Windows 11, you’ll need to buy a new PC. Just double-check the specs to make sure your new device is compatible with Windows 11.

Boot Or Start Computer Faster

Many computers take a lot of time to boot (or start ).This is due to many reasons.

Some slight changes can do wonders for your system:

1. Press start->run then type msconfig and press enter.

Go to the startup tab. Here you will see a list of startup items. These are all the programs that automatically start when you boot your PC. It is these that slow down the boot up process.
So uncheck all the unwanted items like ms-office, messengers other utilities that u may not need at startup). Don't uncheck your antivirus software.

Restart your Pc to and see for yourself, your pc will now boot faster....

2. A great new feature in Microsoft Windows XP is the ability to do a boot defragment. This places all boot files next to each other on the disk to allow for faster booting. By default this option is enabled, but on some systems it is not, so below is the information on how to turn it on:

Go to Start Menu and Click Run
Type in regedit then click ok
Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOpt imizeFunction"
Select "Enable" from the list on the right
Right on it and select "Modify"
Change the value to Y .
Reboot your Pc and see the change yourself.

3.SPEED UP BOOT BY DISABLING UNUSED PORTS.!!
You may have tried many tweaks like modifying windows XP start-up applications, prefetches, unload DLLs method, etc. And yes those methods do work for me.
I have just accidentally found out another way to give you an extra boost in windows XP's boot performance. This is done by disabling your unused devices in Device Manager. for example, if you don't have input devices that are connected to one of your USB's or COM ports, disabling them will give you an extra performance boost in booting. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> device manager Disable devices that you don't use for your PC and then restart.

Top Tips to increase bittorent download Speed

The latest file sharing protocol bittorrent has modified everything when it comes to file sharing. It is a nice platform for downloading large files. Sharing of files include movies, iso images and MP3 songs. Bittorent is mainly famous for illegal file sharing .

The Bittorrent system can be slow at times due to heavy traffic. so let us tweak bittorrent sharing program a little bit.
There are a lot of different bittorrent clients that you can download. I think the best are BitCommet and uTorrent.

Here is a few tips to speed up uTorrent Client. Similar can be implemented on any other torrent clients ,which you are using.

Step 1: Increase TCP connections
You need to increase the number of TCP connections that are allowed at max.Windows XP Service Pack 2 came with the number of allowed open connections to 10. This is to stop any piece of spyware(in our case bittorent client even) from totally taking over your internet connection. TCP connection allowed should be 50 for optimal performance. The best way to increase the maximum number of connections is to apply patch that is available at www.lvllord.de. A nice way to fix this is to download this patch .

The little tweak to the torrent client works great in certain times. If you’re using uTorrent go to Options menu then Preferences. In the Preferences go the Advanced Options. In the advanced options change the net.max_halfopen connections to 80. In the same section change the max half open tcp connections to 80. Once your done click on OK and you are all set. This tweak will let the maximum TCP connection available for the bittorrent client. Now start downloading you’ll realize a little difference in the download speed. Port forwarding technique is more effective than this.

A third point of interest is that some “windows updates” revert your tweaked tcp connections back to 10. So it’s wise to check this every now and then. You can check this by going to (in windows xp) Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > System… Look for event 4226 (sort by event).
If there are a lot of daily occurrences it’s likely that the max amount of half-open tcp connections was set back to 10. Or you’re infected with some nasty spy ware…

Step 2:Torrent Client Configuration
In order to apply these tips you must know your maximum up- and download speed. You can test your bandwidth over here (stop all download activity while testing).
Settings 1-4 can be found in the options, settings or preference tab of most torrent clients.

1. Maximum upload speed
Probably the most important setting there is. Your connection is (sort of) like a pipeline, if you use you maximum upload speed there’s not enough space left for the files you are downloading. So you have to cap your upload speed.

Use the following formula to determine your optimal upload speed…

80% of your maximum upload speed
so if your maximum upload speed is 40 kB/s, the optimal upload rate is 32kB/s But keep seeding!

How to trace email sender’s location

What is an email header?

Each email you receive comes with headers. The headers contain information about the routing of the message and the originating IP address of the message. Not all electronic messeges you receive will allow you to track them back to the originating point and depending on how you send messages determines whether or not they can trace an email address back to you. The headers don’t contain any personal information. At most, the results of the trace with show you the origination IP and the computer name that sent the email. After viewing the trace information, the initiating IP can be looked up to determine from where the message was sent. Remember, IP address location information DOES NOT contain your street name, house number, or phone number. The trace will most likely determine the city and the ISP the sender used.
How to enable email headers?
This process will vary on different email messaging programs that you may be using. I will cover some of the most common options here.
  1. Outlook: Right click the message while it’s in the inbox and choose Message Options. A window will open with the headers in the bottom of the window.
  2. Gmail: Once Logged into your Gmail Account open the Email whose headers you want to view. Click on the “More Options” link in the message next to the date of the email.  Now click the “Show Original” link.  This link will popup a new window the headers and the body of the message.
  3. Hotmail: Click on the “Options” link in the upper navigation bar. Now click on the “Mail Display Settings” link. Change the “Message Headers” option to “Full” and click Ok. Go to your inbox and open any one of your email. You emails show now contain additional headers.
  4. Yahoo: Click on the “Options” link in the upper navigation bar. Now click on the “General Preferences” link. In the paragraph titled Messages and locate the “Headers” heading and select “All”. Go to your inbox and open any one of your email. You emails show now contain additional headers.
In any case, email headers typically look something like this:
Return-Path:

X-OriginalArrivalTime: 13 May 2005 21:33:53.0097 (UTC) FILETIME=[75980390:01C55803]
Your email header may look a lot different. It may be longer or shorter, or have additional information, or less. But the basic idea is that there’s a lot of information in the headers that has to do with the administration of getting the email from the sender to the receiver.

The easiest way for finding the original sender is by looking for the X-Originating-IP header, this header is important since it tells you the IP Address of the computer that had sent the email. If you can not find the X-Originating-IP header then you will have to shift through the Received headers to find the sender’s ip. Once you know the IP address of the sender, you can lookup the location using free service at ip2location.com.

Tips to Convert YouTube Videos

If you have favorite videos on the web, you can use download software to convert YouTube videos into different formats such as MP4, FLV, 3GP, AVI, DivX and WMV. Depending on the type of download YouTube software you use, you can save the videos on your computer or view them right from your iPod or mobile phones.

MPEG-4, commonly known as MP4, is a format file created to provide DVD quality of audio and video in a very small file size. It is ideal for playing on portable MP4 players like the iPod Video and mobile phones that are equipped with a technology to playback MP4 files.

There are sites on the web that allow you to download YouTube videos and save them in MP4 format. These sites do not require a converter as they use compressed domain transcoder technology to converts FLV to MPEG quickly and with less losses.
On the other hand, you can download a converter software to convert videos from YouTube into different formats like the MP4. Some converters can convert YouTube videos into several formats while a few can convert into one or two file formats.

FLV stands for Flash Live Video and it is the type of video file used by YouTube, Reuters and Google videos. Some converters retain the FLV extension file of the video instead of converting into another format. There are video and audio players that can play FLV files.

The 3GP is a multimedia file created by the Third Generation Partnership Project of 3GPPP used on 3G mobile phones. It can also be used by 2G and 4G mobile phones. With this technology, it is possible to play and view videos from mobile phones and Pods.

The file extension .3GP is a simplified standard of the MP4 designed to reduce the amount of storage required and decrease the bandwidth requirements established to accommodate for mobile phones.

Another file format into which you can convert YouTube videos is the AVI. AVI stands for Audio Video Interleave, and it is a multimedia container format that allows you to playback synchronously audio and video files like the DVD video format.

The AVI files support multiple streaming audio and video, and also use the file format extensions created by the Matrox OpenDML group. AVI was creadtMicrosoft in 1992 as a component of its videos for Windows Technology.
DivX files use the media format DMF or DivX Media Format with .divx as its file extension. As a media container format, it is used for the MPEG-4 Part 2 codec. Its features include interactive video menus, multiple subtitles, multiple audio tracks, and multiple video streams.

You can convert YouTube videos into .divx files and have them played on your DivX player, which you can download for free from certain websites. Another option file for you to consider is the wmv.

WMV stands for Windows Media Video. It was originally developed by Microsoft for internet streaming applications as a competitor of RealVideo. If you convert YouTube videos into WMV file, you must have Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, MPlayer, VLC Media player or KMPlayer

SEO Techniques to boost your website

In SEO, link building is one of the most important techniques used by many specialists in their campaigns to increase the volume and quality of visitors coming to their website. Though many have found this technique a pain, particularly because of all its tedious work, it does make up almost 70% of the total success rate in any SEO campaigns.

Link building involves a number of techniques, from link exchange to blogging. Some have become popular, while others have started to decline due to the changing algorithms of search engines, particularly by Google, as well as methods to decrease the effect of spamming, which caused a number of these techniques to become ineffective. Here are some link building techniques used in today’s market.

Blogging

Blogging is one way to get links from. Managing your own blog and allowing people to comment on it and grow allows your website to get more organic or natural links. Organic links are those types of links which naturally grows over time.
This is mostly due to the content in your blog in which many people would likely link to, normally because of its uniqueness or because of its intriguing facts. This link building technique is mostly known in the industry as link baiting.

Blog comments

One of the most widely used form of technique in link building, it involves living links in blogs through its comments. However, many SEO Philippines experts have said that the use of blog comments in link building has steadily declined due to the use of nofollow tag which rendered every links in their comments ineffective to most search engines, particularly with major search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

Forum signature

Using forum signatures to create links is also popular among many of those that loves to engage in forum discussions. Their signatures in forums are one way to create one-way links to their websites, however, this has also become ineffective particularly because many forums today doesn’t allow their signatures to be used as marketing tools for their websites.

Ten Interesting Window 7 Features

Want to learn some cool features in Windows 7? Here is a list of ten of the lesser known but really useful features of Windows 7 which I have come along so far.

  1. Activate God Mode: If you play a lot of video games, probably, you are familiar with the GodMode using which you can access all the features like weapons, unlimited life, special moves, tricks etc. This mode is usually used by developers for testing purpose. Windows 7 has a hidden “GodMode” which lets users access all of the operating systems settings and administrative functions from a single place.
    • Create a folder in your computer.
    • Rename it as GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
The folder icon will change into a control panel icon. Inside the folder you can find every system settings you may want. The trick is also said to work in Windows Vista, but 64-bit versions of that operating system might crash.
  2. Problem Steps Recorder: This is a really useful application of Windows 7 which can help reduce the length of calls to the support desk by providing enough information to the IT pros. This tool lets users to save the steps to cause a problem with taking step-by-step screenshots of users action.
    • Click on Start menu and type psr to open Problem steps Recorder.
    • Click Start record to begin recording your issue. You can also add comments if you like.
